Christopher and Scott had been together for over 20 years, had 2 beautiful children and resided in New York. They both have high powered jobs, travel a lot and so they flew in for one day and planned a Friday Bay Cruise, a Saturday Clambake (we will blog that later) and a beautiful intimate wedding with a custom five course menu matched with incredible wines from Camus and Conundrum vineyards. Chris and Scott simply wanted the best of everything for their guests as they were all flying in from all over the world to be with them.
They wanted a very sleek masculine clean feel to their wedding so we began by picking navy linens with a subtle patten for cocktails and grey fabric that reminded us of suit material for the table linens both from Luxe Linen. We used the Navy, grey and bronze to design their invitation with Wendy Ware designer who hand drew a custom monogram that appeared throughout the wedding from Koozies to cocktail napkins , to place cards, to napkin wraps. Bronze Anthropologie lanterns, vases wrapped in faux snake skin and amber glassware added texture and color to the low full floral centerpieces from Jennifer Cole Florals.
Scott wanted a white cake , Chris wanted a darker cake so we did both ! ! made by the talented Hey there Cupcake team. Thank you to Gene Higa for these beautiful images and many congratulations Gentlemen !

PART ONE: THE CEREMONY DETAILS
We are thrilled to begin the new year with a feature on the amazing Carats and Cake blog.
Jennifer and Ryan got married at the Lodge at Torrey Pines just after a huge storm. The sky opened up right in time for their wedding ceremony and www.truephotographyweddings.com took some amazing photos with the dramatic sky as a backdrop. Jennifer wanted an elegant wedding incorporating some rustic touches. We designed a fun monogram of their initials carved into a heart onto the cake, a decal on the custom dance floor and on their paper goods. We added rustic tables and market lighting into the ballroom and mixed in a beautiful palette of coral, peach, creams and taupes along with lace runners to compliment Jennifer’s stunning gown.
